Scotch Marine Dryback Boilers
Over the years, we have studied the criteria our customers use to evaluate industrial boiler manufacturers, and to make the final decision to buy from I. Matheson over our competitors. We have learned that, of course, they rely on our ability to build the boiler according to their design specifications and specific needs. They also place huge value on the ease of maintaining our boilers, our outstanding design efficiency and our very competitive cost.
The I. Matheson Scotch Marine boiler offers the design, maintenance and budgetary benefits that our customers are looking for in an industrial boiler. In general, the Scotch Marine design offers a large vessel containing many, large tubes filled with a great deal of fluid. The large heating surface and high quantity of fluid makes the boiler relatively uninfluenced by load changes. More importantly to our customers, the significant heating surface as a ratio to boiler horsepower allows for excellent heat transfer and boiler efficiency.
The Dryback design, specifically, offers a ceramic refractory lining within the turnaround chamber. This design reduces erosion in the turnaround area while allowing for access to the back end of the boiler through a convenient door. With the Dryback design, the customer has easy access to the inside of the boiler, including tubes, burner, furnace and to the refractory surfaces. This ease of maintenance is a true benefit of this design.
The value of the Scotch Marine Dryback design lies in its moderate cost, performance efficiency and the convenience it offers for maintaining the interior of the boiler. The Dryback will give you outstanding value in a boiler that outperforms and outlasts our competitors. We know you have options in choosing an industrial boiler company, I. Matheson's customer orientation makes us your best choice.
