I Matheson fabricates Scotch Marine Wetback firetube boilers that deliver on your need for cost-effective, low-maintenance boilers that just plain work.  Our “workhorse” boilers deliver heat or steam year after year with a minimum of work and worry on your part.

The design of our very efficient Scotch Marine Wetback boilers features a water-cooled turnaround chamber.  This water cooling provides excellent insulation, minimizing heat loss from the boiler.  With the I Matheson Wetback boiler, the furnace and rear turnaround are cool-running with minimal erosion, requiring only occasional maintenance.  The Wetback boilers require relatively little maintenance over long periods of continuous operation.  The benefits of the Scotch Marine boiler design also include great efficiency due to the large number and size of tubes when compared with the boiler horsepower. 

I Matheson boilers are “packaged” meaning they are designed to seamlessly fit into your plant upon delivery.  They are skid-mounted and the fittings are custom designed so installation involves sliding the boiler into place and hooking it up – often installation can be done in a day.
